Here is a thought that came to me the other day, while writing a letter to one of my case workers.
Because you mentioned it:
I am in heaven in my new home, living again for the first time in years. Yesterday I hung laundry on the clothesline in the back gated yard. When I returned for them an hour later, they were still there. Sheets and pillowcases, dry in the same time as had they been tumbling in the dryer, disintegrating slowly, costing money, affecting the environment. Lots of saving going on here.
A breeze came through the sixty by eight foot yard, trailing with the scent of honeysuckle and orchid, carrying me back in time. The last time I hung sheets on a clothesline to dry, I had just voted for President Jimmy Carter. Bless the man and his wife Roslyn. A decent, honest man.
Your personal and professional touch did much to facilitate this move for me. I am finally in my environment. Thank you.
